Dynamics Customers, along with their Microsoft partners, came to Convergence from all corners of the globe this year to the first international Convergence. This year was loaded with a wealth of informative Microsoft Dynamics SL sessions, offered other creative ways to learn, and allowed users discover how to extend the power of the Dynamics SL solution across additional areas of their businesses. They also got a first look at the new Dynamics SL R2 product release and hear about future plans for the platform.
We had an awesome User Group Day on Sunday, March 18th, featuring a guest speaker, Bonnie Roberson, for the user group keynote address. She gave us insight on ways to develop professional networks and extend those networks beyond our Convergence experience. We featured other sessions such as a Project Controller Deep Dive, FRx vs. Management Reporter, SQL for Dynamics SL, and Training Gone Good! We had very positive feedback and plan on using some of the constructive feedback to help shape our Fall Conference line up.
A number of DSLUG Members prepared content for Convergence including the highest rated session of all material presented at Convergence. Gail Jones-Nemeth and Stacy Hartman presented a session entitled Internal Controls: A Real World Guide for Accounting Departments. With the amazing ratings, this will be a session we repeat at the fall user group conference. In all, we contributed to over 15 sessions and interactive discussions at Convergence.
For those who attended, it was great to mingle with our peers at the opening reception, exchange advice and take advantage of other opportunities to connect with individuals using Dynamics SL!
One last note for Convergence attendees: Don't forget to go back and fill out your Convergence evaluation forms. The Convergence committee reviews and incorporates a number of your ideas for future years. It also gives the Microsoft Dynamics SL Team valuable feedback on how to make your Convergence experience even better. Click here to access the Convergence site.
